About the Role
TLC Linen Services is seeking a Production Supervisor responsible for organizing and supervising the work of one or more production departments within the laundry facility.
Essential functions:
- Monitor work methods and equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and department expenses.
- Ensure execution of company production policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor and ensure that standards for production, quality, housekeeping, and safety are met.
- Conduct new hire and ongoing trainings in all production departments in conjunction with Team Leads.
- Maintain proficiency and is responsible for training all responsibilities of a production employee.
- Responsible for evaluating tasks and responsibilities of production employees and recommending recognition and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for coordinating and conducting monthly safety trainings in conjunction with Team Leads.
- Supervise Team Leads to ensure proper and timely execution of daily tasks.
- Provide feedback and recommendations, as needed, to Production Manager and Plant Manager.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, attend meetings, and perform other tasks as directed by Production Manager and Plant Manager.
Successful candidates:
- Have a minimum of 2-years of prior supervisory experience.
- Can lead and motivate team members.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Keep their departments neat, clean, and organized.
- Enjoy coaching and training line level workers and team leads.
- Consistently ensures established processes and procedures are followed.
- Have a good attention to detail.
- Have good verbal and written skills.
- Have a good working knowledge of MS Office products: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Can handle physical requirements of an entire shift, including but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, moving loaded carts weighing up to 500lbs, and lifting up to 60lbs.
