Job Title : Travel RN - Nurse Manager Job Type : Contract / Temporary (Travel Assignment) Location : Various locations across the country (travel required) Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nurse Manager in a travel nursing role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership and management, overseeing clinical operations, patient care, and staff performance in a variety of healthcare settings. This position involves managing nursing teams, optimizing patient care delivery, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while traveling to different healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities : Manage and supervise nursing staff across various departments, ensuring high-quality care delivery and adherence to policies and protocols. Oversee daily clinical operations, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care coordination. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing procedures and protocols to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care. Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and support for professional development. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure patient care is coordinated and meets clinical standards. Address patient care concerns and resolve conflicts between patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive experience and optimal outcomes. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission). Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient outcomes, nurse performance, and operational efficiency. Foster a supportive and positive work environment to promote staff morale, retention, and teamwork. Travel to various healthcare facilities as needed, assessing and improving clinical operations in each location. Qualifications : Required : Active RN license in good standing (State-specific) and ability to obtain licensure in other states as required. Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role. Proven ability to manage teams, develop care protocols, and oversee operational processes in a healthcare setting. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in patient care management. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills to work with patients, families, and staff. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality improvement practices. Ability to assess and improve clinical workflows, staffing, and patient outcomes. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities across different locations. Preferred : BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or MSN (Master of Science in Nursing). Certification in Nursing Administration (e.g., Nurse Executive Certification). Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare information management. Previous experience in travel nursing or multi-facility management. Experience in a specialized clinical area (e.g., ICU, OR, med-surg) is a plus. Working Conditions : Travel required to different healthcare facilities on a temporary basis. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and work settings.
