A Transportation Specialist is responsible for all things around the transportation of residents to and from various scheduled events. This unique position is in charge of keeping our residents safe and building relationships the mirror our Core Values!
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
CDL with passenger endorsement.

- Manage and develop shuttle calendar for various properties to include updating the shuttle directory.
- Create sign-up sheets and monitors live roster to ensure services are provided to residents.
- Monitor live roster and work with Activities team to purchase tickets when applicable.
- Transport residents to and from various scheduled events.
- Ensure residents are communicated on pick-ups, drop-offs, any schedule changes, cancellations, or any other changes that would affect service for the resident.
- Daily communication with residents on desires/needs and makes appropriate adjustments when needed.
- Manages shuttle waivers and log of waivers (including managing the badges).
- Check the condition of the shuttle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working order and report any need for repair.
- Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs to fleet management.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations that will impede the time schedule to the appropriate leadership or representative.
- Comply with all traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort.
- Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, and/or fuel consumption.
- Additional duties as assigned.
