Education Specialist Co-Teacher (Elementary - M/M, M/S)

TLC Public Charter School is a model site for demonstration and innovation in inclusive education, with full access to General Education classrooms for all students, an arts-enriched curriculum, and a school-wide emphasis on kindness, care, and friendship. TLC students are diverse and teachers work as a team through collaboration, co-planning, and co-teaching approaches. Ideal candidates are creative, innovative, and have strong communication skills. Curriculum development and lesson planning skills are essential. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Responsibilities: •Provide quality instruction consistent with the school mission and vision * Maintain responsibility for student IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring for students * Coordinate with service providers to ensure full implementation of IEPs in inclusive classroom settings •Participate in common grade level planning to develop matched lesson plans that maintain continuity within each grade level •Partner with a general educator to implement a co-teaching model including co-planning, co-assessment and co-instruction •Engage in regular data reviews to meet the changing needs of students •Provide an effective classroom environment that reflects and facilitates the academic program •Continue to engage in professional development opportunities throughout the school year •Provide for open communication with all members of the school community • Adapt materials and modify curriculum to ensure equal access for all students * Valid credential appropriate to teaching assignment required.
