Full Job Description
TLC is looking for compassionate employees to provide in-home Direct Caregiving for developmentally disabled adolescents and adult individuals. As a Direct Caregiver you will provide various non-medical services, such as: assisting with meal preparation, grooming, bathing, toileting, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. These services are provided within group homes. We have full time, part time, on-call and weekend only shift’s available and will hire both drivers and non-drivers, and we are seeking both male and female candidates. Having previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not necessary, because we will train you within the first sixty days of employment.
Direct Caregiving duties may include:
- Companionship
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Grooming, bathing, and toileting
- Medication and appointment reminders
- Outings in the community with the client
- Taking to appointments
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance.
- Be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification. (Required within the first 60 days of being hired).
- Article 9 Certification. (Required to complete within 60 days of hire)
- Prevention and Support Certification. (Required within 60 days of hire)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stoop, and bend comfortably.
- Must be comfortable assisting in bathing, dressing, and overall hygiene of clients.
