Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to an individual with special needs. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities and ensure the well-being of the individual. The main activities are to take her out to do fun activities. Must have a good driving record. Car available. Go to the Safari Park, Balboa Park, fun things to do in San Diego.
Duties
- Assist participant with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming if needed.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to resident
-Must have some training with managing behaviors
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Uphold resident rights and dignity at all times
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a high standard of care
Qualifications
- Experience in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, or related field.
- Ability to provide direct support in a home or community care setting
- Understanding of resident rights and confidentiality protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
Shifts available are Monday through Friday 10:AM-1:PM 3 hours
