The Katherine Thomas School has an opening for an Administrative Manager. This Admininstrative Manager provides administrative support to the special education program(s) and coordinates services for KTS/KTHS. The Administrative Manager coordinates KTS Summer Programs. This is a 12-month position.
Annual Salary for this position is $54,000 to $68,000, depending on experience and level of education
KTS, in Rockville, MD services students in preschool through middle school grades with language, learning, sensory motor disabilities and/or moderate to high functioning autism. EOE

Responsibilities Of The Administrative Manager
- Communicate with parents, school systems, attorneys and school administrators
- Manage and train staff in the use of computer-based data management systems
- Manage student documents and data
- Supervise school bus positions and maintain that vehicles are up to date with required county registrations
- Direct and/or respond to incoming calls, act as liaison
- Track leave requests for staff
- Maintain records or budget expenses and track purchase orders
- Process registration forms for special events and/or field trips
- Work with the school nurse to maintain student health records
- Serve as backup to the Administrative Assistant
Requirements of the Administrative Manager:
- An Associates Degree and a minimum of five years of relevant administrative and supervisory experience
- Experience within a school setting preferred
- One year experience working with children, experience with children with disabilities preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a positive and welcoming attitude
- Strong computer skills that include MS Office, Google Docs and various databases
