PRIMARY FUNCTION: To serve the clients of TranscendED residential facility as a Certified Medical
assistant. Carry out and ensure follow-through on all doctor’s orders and patient needs while
facilitating medication management and medical/psychiatric care coordination.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:.
Vitals: Blind weights, lying blood pressure, standing blood pressure, temperature, analysis
Weekly BMs
Consult regularly with medical / admin staff to discuss client treatment
Relay medication requests that come in any day other than when the RN is present to the
doctor
Complete lab sheets and follow up with clients to ensure labs were completed
Complete nursing notes if RN is out for the week and include RN as a co-signer
Assist the Care Coordinator by following up on any remaining Medical Releases for new
patients, as needed
Assist clients with bathroom breaks
As soon as the admission date is determined, schedule all admission day appointments with
DCM, CD, RD, RN, and MD.
Help scan, upload, label, and file client chart contents as assigned.
Medication administration and document in MAR (if med admin certified)
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: CMA License
Must be licensed in the current state
Must demonstrate knowledge of medications and their proper application and use
Must be able to take vital signs and provide first aid
Experience with Eating Disorder clients or Behavioral Health clients (preferred)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Currently license in good standing in North Carolina
Salary : $18 - $20
