Logistics Coordinator

Job Overview
The Truckload Coordinator’s primary function is to assist in developing and managing the in-house operations and truckload brokerage at Translogistics Inc. The position involves building carrier relationships, finding daily capacity through technology such as carrier portals and load boards, pricing shipments competitively in the marketplace to secure client orders, and monitoring loads from inception until delivery. It also entails sourcing new loads. It expects the candidate to establish and maintain professional relationships with new and assigned clients on behalf of Translogistics by taking complete responsibility and ownership for each client contact. The candidate must have competence in the transportation industry, marketplace, and general logistics operations, as the position requires an excellent understanding of the transportation/trucking industry and a high level of technological skills. The candidate must also exude a professional demeanor at all times while working in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

· Provide exceptional client service. Take the extra mile to engage customers with a professional and “people-first” attitude.

· Manage and maintain assigned accounts; make sound financial decisions regarding the profit and loss, sales, revenue, and account growth of the accounts. Consistently develop and build the relationships.

· Support assigned accounts not only during regular business hours but as their needs develop and require attention.

· Schedule and execute an array of transportation services in accordance with legal and client requirements. Gather and report cargo characteristics, service options, available lowest cost rates, transit times, and loading and offloading requirements.

· Communicate service updates, resolve customer complaints and provide follow up in a timely manner. Provide intermediary functions, logistics representation, and take responsibility for shipment management.

· Reliably track and expedite progress of specialized shipments and perform additional activities required to meet clients’ deadlines and expectations.

· Track all managed and booked shipments, alerting clients of all transit updates.

· Provide accurate and timely price quotes to clients, as requested, determining the company’s margin and profitability.

· Pre-screen carriers for eligibility based upon DOT standards and company policy, utilizing appropriate software technology.

· Continuously develop contract carrier base operation to meet productivity demands.

· Find qualified carriers and pursue costs for best routing and pricing for client quotes.

· Generate accurate and timely freight quotes for clients when required within the workflow.

· Manage incoming client telephone calls professionally, efficiently, and with excellent communication skills within various call queues as well as client direct.

· Process client orders accurately and timely.

· Follow all company SOPs related to company and department policies and comply with established best practices (including technology/software).

· Perform other work-related duties when needed; work outside of regular business hours when needed.

Qualifications

·Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and partners.

·Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.

·Experience in transportation, supply chain management, or logistics is highly preferred.

·Excellent written and oral command of the English language.

·Excellent people and interpersonal skills.

·Extremely detail oriented & organized.

·Highly effective at multi-tasking and juggling several projects at one time.

·Attentive in preventing errors and solving complex problems.

·Highly literate with computer software, including TMS Technology Systems.

·Extremely organized and effectively utilizes time well.

· Positive and upbeat attitude

Physical Requirements:

· The ability to compute business math formulas.

· The ability to sit and type on a computer for extended periods of time.

This role also requires you to provide your own transportation to the Exton PA corporate office to work. The office is a temperature-controlled environment.
