Scope of Work :
This position performs general maintenance services on assisting Crane Mechanic. The position requires practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in crane repair and electrical problem diagnosis.
Responsibilities :
- Work will include various laborious duties while utilizing many different hand tools, trouble shooting and repairing overhead cranes and vehicle lifts.
- This position will also require but will not be limited to carrying ladders, being in small spaces over periods of time and being able to work at all heights, operation scissor and platform lifts, ground guiding and basic knowledge or rigging equipment.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently produces quality products and service.
- Completes all training within required timeline.
- Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
Must have a minimum of two (2) years related experience and / or formal vocational / technical training in a variety of electrical systems troubleshooting and / or crane repair.Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.CDL preferred.Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.Must possess the ability to work in a high-volume office area and interface in a positive manner with co-workers and the customer.Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.Ability to work independently.Ability to speak, read, and write English.Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.Employees will be required to work on top of buildings, in mechanical rooms, outdoors, etc. to do routine maintenance and repairs. This requires but is not limited to carrying ladders, being in small spaces over periods of time, and being able to work at all heights.Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.On a continuous basis, sit, stand, bend, climb ladders (up to 40 feet), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and twist for varying periods in the course of work; use hands and fingers to grasp tools; make repetitive hand and body motions; twist and reach below and above shoulder; lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to communicate with co-workers using a two-way radio; use telephone, and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means; see in the normal vision range with or without correction to read computer screen, blueprints, and drafting plans; hear in the normal range with or without correction.Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Some work is performed with exposure to low to loud noise level; frequent fieldwork is required with exposure to a variety of weather conditions and the external environment; tasks may require working in tightly enclosed spaces and the use of ladders or other safety equipment to gain access to hard-to-reach locations. Some work may require exposure to dust, particulates, unpleasant and potentially hazardous substances and high voltage. During snow removal operations operate various equipment outside to clear roads, sidewalks and parking lots.Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.Must be able to successfully complete a drug / alcohol test and a criminal record check.Benefits :
