Position Overview
Seasonal Event Security team members play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all event attendees. These professionals are not only experts in crowd control but also champions of exceptional customer service. They are trained to communicate effectively and professionally with the public, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and informative.
Key responsibilities of Event Security team members include:
1. **Crowd Management**: Directing attendees to their desired destinations while maintaining an orderly flow of movement. This includes guiding guests during peak times to prevent congestion and ensuring that all areas are accessible as needed.
2. **Access Control**: Vigilantly monitoring restricted areas to ensure that only authorized personnel have access. This task is critical to maintaining event safety and integrity.
3. **Regulation Enforcement**: Enforcing venue regulations and production guidelines to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Team members must be familiar with specific rules to effectively communicate them to guests.
4. **Emergency Response**: Being prepared to act swiftly in case of emergencies or incidents, collaborating with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

Position Requirements
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a functional mobile device.
Must have customer service experience.
Possession of a State Issued Driver's license (Preferred)
Responsibilities
Team members are expected to stand/walk for extended periods of time to secure the perimeter and interior of an indoor or outdoor event venue. This includes securing all entrances and exits of the venue.
Greet all guests with a friendly smile and professional tones, and assure the guest is having a great customer experience.
May be required to notify police, fire department or emergency medical services of problems if requested or otherwise warranted.
Familiarize themselves with the information and facilities located at each venue where they are posted.
Observe and report matters of concern to team leaders and complete incident reports as necessary.
Professionally assist guests with instructions to utilize facilities, shops or other desired destinations.
ES Team members may be required to provide scheduled break relief for other ES Team members.
Provide support to other team members when asked or if you see they need assistance.
Follow directives of Event Staff Team Leaders across the network of the company.
Serve where needed or as support to other tasked team members at each event.
Utilize effective interpersonal skills when interacting with guests and the public.
Equipment
Utilize two-way radio including safeguard of such radio or other issued equipment
Operate Walk thru Body Scanners and Walk thru Magnetometer.
Handheld Metal Detectors

Computer Skills
General computer literacy required. Basic understanding of the use of mobile applications. A willingness to learn new technology skills.
Required Technology: Must have a functional mobile device which allows access to the internet or cellular service.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors and indoors. This position consists of shift work. Typical shifts are 4 – 8 hours per day, a mixture of day and evening shifts required by the client site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
