T&M Associates is seeking an accomplished Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer to join our team as a Department Manager within our Water Market. This is a critical leadership position, where you will manage multiple teams, including Group Managers, Project Managers, and Engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects and achievement of business goals across the region.
This position can be based in any of T&M's New Jersey offices, including Middletown, Toms River, Mount Laurel, or Bloomfield. The Department Manager will lead water teams across North, Central, and South Jersey and work closely with market leaders to develop business strategies that align with overall company goals. This role also offers the opportunity to collaborate with the Regional Market Leader in the Northeast to plan and drive growth initiatives in the Water sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage multiple technical teams, including Group Managers, Project Managers, and Engineers, to ensure successful project completion and business outcomes across the region
- Provide strategic leadership and direction on water / wastewater engineering projects, ensuring compliance with all technical and regulatory standards
- Guide the team in the design, planning, and optimization of infrastructure for water systems such as treatment plants, watermain replacement, sewer systems, booster stations, and wastewater pumping stations
- Oversee business development efforts, including proposal preparation, and collaborate with peers across the organization to support team goals and company success
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet established deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
- Monitor and manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and collections
- Mentor and develop staff through effective recruitment, training, and performance management practices
- Collaborate with regional leadership to ensure alignment of projects and goals with the company's overall strategy for growth and success
