Shift: Mid-Day to Evening & Weekend
Reports to: Director of Operations
Job Summary:
The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of TM Fieldhouse. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring a high standard of customer service, maintaining the facility, coordinating events and leagues, managing budgets in coordination with the Director of Operations, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations:
- Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Manage facility scheduling including leagues, tournaments, rentals, practices, and open play in coordination with the Program Coordinator(s).
- Coordinate with janitorial and maintenance staff to ensure the facility is in top condition.
- Implement and enforce facility policies and safety procedures.
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise staff including front desk, referees, coaches, and maintenance workers.
- Assist the DOO in creating staff schedules and ensure proper coverage for all shifts and events.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support.
Customer Service:
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing guest concerns and feedback promptly.
- Act as a point of contact for leagues, teams, and event organizers on coordination with the courtside program coordinator and DOO.
- Promote positive experiences for all visitors.
Financial Oversight:
- Assist in budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor inventory, and oversee the collection of fees and registrations through online payment system.
Programming & Events:
- Plan and promote leagues, tournaments, camps, and special events in coordination with the DOO and Program Coordinator(s).
- Work with DOO to create promotional campaigns and maintain the facility's social media presence.
- Build community partnerships and sponsorships to enhance programming.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in facility management or sports program coordination
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and shared holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of sports rules, operations, and tournament scheduling software (a plus)
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced indoor sports facility environment
- Involves standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Interaction with youth, adults, and various athletic organizations
Compensation: Salary Starting $50K
