Custodian/Janitor

*Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning and specialized tasks.

*Responsibilities*

- Perform general custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.

- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure all surfaces are clean and presentable.

- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks in designated areas to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

- Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the premises.

- Maintain an organized supply inventory for custodial materials and report shortages promptly.

- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure personal safety and that of others.

*Requirements*

- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Good physical stamina; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Physical Setting:

• Office

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends

Experience:

• Janitorial: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Night Shift (Preferred)
