What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASC Director of Nursing position at TMA Vascular Access Center?
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides daily leadership and direction for an effective and productive patient process & Center workflow. Leadership responsibilities include an on-going surveillance of all clinic staff and activities of the TMA Access Center. This position is accountable for attaining all site goals and objectives as set forth by the Governing Body, as well as ensuring compliance with system-wide policies and procedures and federal, state and accrediting body guidelines and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Establishing and maintaining a means of assessing nursing care needs of patients and staff to meet those needs.
2. Coordination of nursing services with other patient services.
3. Development and maintenance of nursing service goals, education and objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedure manuals and written job descriptions for each level of personnel.
4. Daily coordination of staff supervision, patient care, infection control and other job-related clinical tasks.
Promotes high quality outcomes of patient care and service in all areas of clinical responsibility. Supports quality improvements that enhance provision of patient safety and delivery of clinical services. Directs the planning, developing and implementation of necessary policies and procedures, activities and programs in collaboration with the Director of Operations to ensure an efficient delivery of excellent patient care. Works also as the Center Patient Safety Officer and reports significant compliance failures and ethical concerns in the electronic patient safety portal, Director of Operations and Medical Director.
Participates in the mentoring, training and education of clinical staff while continually assessing for additional opportunities to educate staff and advance in professional development. Conducts individual and team goal setting, performance planning and evaluation.
Leads by demonstrative example in exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of the processes and desired outcomes from clinical operations and motivates staff to perform at their highest level. Assures a qualitative and measurable, outcome-focused, systematic approach to care delivery consistent with current nursing research, organizational, evidence-based research, and national practice standards.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all patients with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Nursing, or higher, required
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
BLS and ACLS required.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare management.
Must demonstrate strong decision-making and critical thinking skills along with the ability to lead change.
Must possess the ability to simultaneously address multiple projects, demands and clinical issues.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as planning, organizational and conceptual skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
