Medical Science Liaison, Virology - Southeast (FL, GA, AL, MS)
About the Role :
Serving as a value-added resource and extension of the Company’s US Medical Affairs organization, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will support the Company’s Global Medical Affairs team. The MSL will work full time to initially build relationships and engage in Scientific Exchange with the respiratory virus disease state community. Through these relationships, the MSL will collaborate with other field teams to raise awareness of and support the Company’s research efforts and global studies through disease, thought leader, and investigator discussions. The MSL will serve as a liaison between the Company’s Medical Affairs and the clinical study sites, investigators, and the clinical research associates (CRAs). The MSL will be responsible for conducting outreach to clinical investigators and site staff to develop relationships, support education and enrollment initiatives, and represent the Company’s interests.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and conduct outreach to clinical investigators, site staff, and referring physicians to develop relationships, support enrollment initiatives and represent the Company’s interests.
- Engagement of RSV KOLs / TLs and Centers of Excellence.
- Prepare for and present study information via formal presentations to investigators, site staff and referring physicians to generate interest for participation in company sponsored studies or related activities and / or to confirm understanding of a specific protocol.
- Engage site staff and investigators in discussion to understand and report challenges in subject enrollment and retention and offer potential solutions.
- Upon request, educate clinical trial sites and referring physicians about disease state or study design.
- Interact and build positive relationships with key stakeholders on the Medical Affairs and Research and Development teams as well as the clinical trial sites’ assigned study team members including field monitors and CRAs.
- Communicate any adverse event information, reports of concern or product complaints in accordance with Company's policies.
- As assigned, attend local, regional, and national medical conferences, to obtain new medical insights, stay informed of clinical trends and support and maintain relationships with key investigators.
