ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL ASSEMBLY/TECHNICIAN POSITION
Small engineering and manufacturing company is currently looking for a person to fill a current need for someone with control panel assembly experience. They should be familiar with general controls, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and must be able to read schematic drawings. They will be responsible for the assembly of control panels and enclosures based on provided drawings. They must be able to work with little to no supervision. We can also work with the right candidates if they would like to supplement their current employment or to help train someone with the desire to learn and the right work ethic. The right candidate should be organized and detail oriented, with a great desire to do their best and take pride in doing a quality job. The individual should be highly motivated, able to work in a dynamic environment, and be eager to learn new things. The right candidate should be capable of multi-tasking among the various job tasks, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Interpreting electrical control schematic drawings.
- Laying out and mounting electrical control components, drilling, tapping etc..
- Wiring general control components, PLCs, and drives.
- Modify enclosures as needed for operator panels, fans, filters, cable entry/exit, etc.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Have the ability to read and understand instructions on a regular basis.
- Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
We prefer the candidate to have some previous experience with control panel assembly, guidelines, techniques, and standards. This however is not required, but the candidate should possess a can-do attitude. We would prefer the individual be proficient with MS Windows based computers along with MS Office.
