What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Compounding Lab Technician position at TMC Acquisition LLC?

We are looking for a Compounding Lab Technician who will be responsible for working collaboratively with other pharmacy technicians to make compounds requested under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and Lab Manager. All tasks and duties must be completed in accordance and compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and current company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures, USP guidelines, and SOPs for preparation of formulations
- Take part in departmental meetings as well as participate in relevant educational programs
- Daily documentation of refrigerator/freezer temperatures and cleaning procedures
- Take inventory of all chemicals and lab supplies and send to Lab Manager on a weekly basis for confirmation and ordering
- Complete weekly documentation and preparation of expired products and chemicals for destruction each month
- Calibrate and properly document compounding equipment daily
- Compound specialized and complex non-sterile therapies, using proper personal protective equipment to meet the specific need of an individual patient
- Accurately weigh/measure all ingredients to be used in the compounding procedure using the provided pharmaceutical formulation worksheet, analytical balances, and calibrated lab glassware
- Assist the lab assistant with the completion of any required paperwork relating to non-sterile compounding
- Participate in special projects
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Strong math skills
- Capable of working with small delicate analytical equipment
- Basic level skill/experience in the Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
- High school diploma required
- Experience in operating standard office equipment
