BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB
The Home Health Manager is a registered professional nurse who provides oversight of all patient care services and personnel. Ensures quality of patient care in the home. Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, patient, family and referring agency. May also be called Clinical Manager, Director of Nurses, Director of Clinical Services, Director of Professional Services, or similar title. The supervising nurse, or alternate, must be available to agency personnel at all times in person or via telecommunications.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Education per RN licensure; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a registered nurse and one year experience in home health care required. Management experience preferred.
- Current State license as a Registered Nurse. RN licensure valid for the state in which all services are provided. Valid driver's license, proof of automobile liability insurance, and BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. Reliable transportation required.
- Excellent clinical skills; secure in decision making and working independently. Has in depth knowledge and experience regarding licensing standards (both state and Joint Commission), and all local, state, and federal laws relating to all the operations of the agency. Must have in depth knowledge of the home health payment system, OASIS, and coding for home health. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must be able to communicate in oral and written communication forms. Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrates proven decision making skills.
