Orientation & Training :
Our training program is among the few recognized by the Department of Labor as a certified Heavy Truck Driver Apprenticeship program. Orientation lasts two weeks at our training facilities in Des Moines, Iowa or Columbia, South Carolina, followed by four weeks of over-the-road (OTR) training with a Driver Trainer. We prioritize home time, pairing you with a trainer who lives within 150 miles of your home to maximize your weekends with family and friends.
TMC Transportation is expanding and needs more Class A CDL Drivers who want to be home every weekend while enjoying the benefits of over-the-road driving. Longer routes are available for those who prefer to be out more than a week. We welcome both experienced and inexperienced CDL drivers, and our student driver (apprentice) training program is one of the premier options in the industry.
