About the Role
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Asset Management Coordinator to join our team in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's physical assets to ensure efficient use, tracking and maintenance. The role requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to collaborate across departments to streamline asset processes.
Responsibilities
- Asset Tracking and Maintenance : Manage and maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company assets (e.g., tractors, trailers and company vehicles) ensuring accurate tracking and proper allocation.
- Asset Lifecycle Management : Oversee the entire asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring proper documentation, usage and compliance with company policies.
- Asset Audits and Reporting : Conduct regular asset audits to reconcile discrepancies, ensure accuracy, and report on asset conditions and utilization.
- Vendor Relations : Liaise with suppliers and vendors for asset securement, service agreements, and maintenance, ensuring that cost of services provided align with budget and company needs.
- Data Management and Documentation : Maintain detailed records in asset management systems, ensuring timely updates and accuracy for all asset related data and documentation.
- Collaboration : Work with I.T., Operations, Customer Service and Training to coordinate asset needs, transfers and optimization of resources.
- Trouble Shooting and Support : Provide support for asset related issues, including troubleshooting, maintenance scheduling and repair coordination.
Candidate Requirements
o Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or I.T. Systems Development preferred.
o Experience : No minimum experience required, but seeking demonstrated ability for team driven success and problem solving though technology advancements.
o Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Emphasis in using technology to solve problems.
o Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) software.
o Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
