Description
TMC Staffing is seeking a Machine Operator Trainee to operate various machinery and clean and maintain their work area. Must be willing to get their hands dirty, cross-train and multi-task as needed.
Must be able to work 12 hours shifts with rotating days, overtime including some weekends
Day Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Night Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks.
- Will be responsible for learning multiple machines, i.e. press, slitter, add roll
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of related shop experience or equivalent trade school.
- Understands and complies with all OSHA and plant SAFETY rules including lock-out tag-out, machine guarding, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools.
- Ability to use/read tape measures.
- Simple shop math.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, stand-up, and move around the shop
- Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
- Must be able to operate with minimal supervision once trained by following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
