We are looking for Machine Operators to set up and run automatic and semi-automatic molding machinery on all three shifts. You’ll ensure the efficient running of production jobs. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training will be provided so you should have willingness to learn and be able to follow instructions. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Maintain accurate product counts
- Assemble boxes efficiently as needed
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Inform Quality personnel of any non-conforming products immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety regulations
Skills
- Previous experience as a machine operator is a plus
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read and write basic English
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs. Able to twist and turn while lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
