An accounting clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records by performing tasks like data entry, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, filing documents, and assisting accounting personnel, requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while utilizing accounting software to process transactions and update ledgers; essentially acting as a support role within the accounting department by handling routine clerical tasks related to finances. - Data entry : Entering financial transactions into accounting software from source documents like invoices and receipts. [1, 4]
