We are a leader in technology, developing cutting-edge sensor, and automation control systems that help to reduce costs and increase safety in our clients' operations. Our operations are rapidly expanding to include innovative technologies and automation in the Oil industry. The original company began in 2008, and initially manufactured original equipment for various industries. Beginning in 2016, our business shifted to focus on providing services in the Oil & Gas Industry.
We are currently seeking a dynamic candidate for the role of the Supply Chain Director position. As a leader on our team, the supply chain director manages the flow of goods and services from procurement to distribution. They also oversee logistics, inventory, and shipping and receiving. You will handle the procurement of goods and services for a company. You will manage each part of the supply chain to ensure consistent delivery of goods and services while identifying possible obstacles that may affect productivity.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Interviews, Hires, and Trains New Staff in The Department.
- Oversees The Daily Workflow of The Department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees following company policy.
Duties / Responsibilities :
The Supply Chain Director will work to achieve and exceed quality, control & delivery performance targets across all procurement phases in our Company, to improve competitiveness. You will manage, supervise, and coordinate all aspects of raw materials and / or equipment procurement, and oversee the activities and operations of the procurement department and staff.
Categorize inventory and assign it in and out.Purchase quality products with timely deliveries at the best price.Steel procurement is a plus.Track fuel for jobs and locations.Inventory tracking on all materials, goods, and fleets.Manage company truck fleet, including taxes, tags, and insurance.Process and communicate reports with suppliers.Negotiate contracts for services.Work directly with Accounting / Finance, Human Resources, HSE Manager, and General Manager.Review and approve technical and administrative content of purchasing documentation.Maintains manual or computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, cost, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.Provide information to Management, as required, for monthly reports.Perform all clerical requirements, as needed regarding specific responsibilities.Develop reliable sources of supply with sound supplier relations.Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action.Supervise lower-level coordinators.Maintain ethical conduct with all vendor relations.Maintain open communication lines with other departments.Know and understand our Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Manual, Operating and Technical Instructions.Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.Work assignments are carried out to the highest quality level.Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by executive management within the physical constraints of the job.Required Skills / Abilities :
Accounting experience.Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, and supply chain operations.Experience using procurement and supply chain management software and tools.In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).Management and leadership skills.Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.Qualification Requirements
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, Accounting / Finance, or business administration preferred or 9 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in place of college degree.Experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position preferred.Buying experience with raw materials, fuel, crude, fluids, lubricants, etc.A minimum of 5 years’ Oil and Gas industry experience in the Permian Basin.5 years of purchasing and / or buying experience.Experience in accounting.Proven experience managing procurement operations and tracking inventory.Experience using procurement management software and tools, including QuickBooks, Excel, and SharePoint.In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.Knowledge of national, state, and local regulations, commodity markets, and purchasing / sourcing strategy.Local from Midland / Odessa Texas; no relocation.Physical Requirements :
