What are the responsibilities and job description for the IM + CANS Assessor position at TMH Behavioral Services?
We are hiring a contracted IM CANS Assessor. The IM CANS Assessor is a master’s level
clinical professional who will complete an Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plan (IATP) utilizing the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) approved instrument; the Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths (IM CANS) Assessment for Medicaid enrolled children under the age of 21 in Illinois. The Clinical Assessor will meet with the individual, parent/guardian face-to-face, by phone, or by video to complete the intake and assessment process.
Flexible scheduling between the hours of 8:00am –8:00p.m. 7 days a week.
Hourly rate of:$45-$50
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related human services field required
- IM CANS certification required
- Licensure in the state of IL (LPC, LSW, MFT; LCPC, LCSW or LMFT) preferred
- Clinical licensure in the state of IL (LCPS, LCSW or LMFT) highly preferred
- One year of related clinical experience in Community Mental Health working with children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Proficient with supervision, service delivery, and case management fundamentals
- Experience in quality management preferred
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Adobe
Salary : $40 - $50
