Job Summary
This position is responsible for skill development, supervision, transportation, communication, and all aspects
of working with TMI athletes and their families.
Essential Job Duties
- Maintains and guides the direction of the athletic program in line with TMI's core values and
mission.
- Lead and guide athletes to be WISER student-athletes
- Supervise athletes until a responsible adult picks them up after practices and games.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with student-athletes, parents, and TMI
administrators.
- Communicate with athletes, their families, faculty, and administration regarding details of the
athletic schedule.
- Instruct athletes regarding the rules, regulations, age-level conditioning, sport-specific skills,
equipment use, etc.
- Instruction for both individual and team development
- Plan and oversee daily practices.
- Prepare for and manage gameday events.
- Ability to travel to games and drive large vehicles to transport the team and equipment in
accordance with the fleet safety policy.
- Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and storage of equipment,
supplies, and uniforms.
- Coordinate off-season and pre-season training through the Human Performance Coordinator.
- Promote TMI Athletics in the community to help attract and retain mission-appropriate
student-athletes.
- Elevate the overall performance of TMI athletes and teams.
- Maintain team and individual success at the district, regional, and state levels of TAPPS
competitions.
Experience/Skills
- Previous coaching experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Knowledge of various fitness equipment and implements is necessary.
- Certified First Aid/CPR
- Valid Driver’s License, Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred
Education
- High School Graduate required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must submit background checks and certifications as required by the school and the Diocese of West
Texas.
