This position will assist the General Counsel in the operation of the Company Legal Department. Assists General Counsel in providing general legal service to company officers, departments, and employees. Responsibilities Assists General Counsel in providing general legal service to company officers, departments, and employees. Develops and reviews organization policies, practices, and guidelines. Drafts and reviews key documents, contracts, and agreements for compliance and risk assessment and negotiates final terms. Oversees companys contract management process. Assists in the management of companys compliance team. Monitors and advises on new and existing legislation and regulations pertaining to medical professional liability insurance. Collaborates with all company departments to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in business practices. Conducts legal research and analysis on various legal issues. Manages legal projects and assignments, delivering high-quality work within designated time frames. Maintains knowledge of company goals, strategies, processes, products, and initiatives to counsel and provide clear and appropriate recommendations to senior management regarding company operations. Qualifications Strong legal research and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and part of a team. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, admission to practice law in Texas, 0-5 years of legal experience, preferably in insurance or general corporate law.
