Role/Responsibilities

• Significant experience with Ignition.
• Working with MES teams and capital equipment suppliers in the implementation of capital equipment.
• Expert level with Allen Bradley- experience with other PLC’s (Siemens, Automation Direct, etc.)
• Expert with Robots/programming and interfacing with capital equipment/tooling- Fanuc, ABB, Kuka.
• Experience using SQL databases to feed data to equipment for operational data and error proofing/quality verification.
• Project Implementation: Program and troubleshoot SCADA and MES solutions
• Assist Controls Engineering with implementing best practices and deployment of industrial automation software in a manufacturing environment
• Design and implement automation for managing the deployment and upgrades of industrial automation applications
• Gather requirements, define and document business processes/procedures using workflow modeling techniques and standardized documentation templates.
• Ability to take on a wide variety of job functions and tasks within a program including hands-on technical support.
• Establishing program plan by determining time frame, funding, savings, and staffing; approving program schedule.
• Develops and supports interfaces for equipment communications with shop-floor tools and devices.
• Provides electrical designs and programming within applicable standards to build new or modify existing production machines and systems.
• Responsible for changes to ladder logic and software including, but not limited to: Safety Systems, PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, and PC based logic.
• Accountable for delivering program objectives.
• Controls program plan and schedule changes. Monitors scope of program/project and the need for management attention.
• Abides and practices corporate and OSHA standards for electrical systems standardization
• Assist with defining MES/Apriso solution architectures and develops detailed design specifications.
• Define MES solution architectures and develops detailed design specifications.
• Provide expert knowledge and experience regarding equipment programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to guide, and sometimes accomplish, technical effort required to implement complex MES solutions.
• Comfortable doing live troubleshooting of issues on outage calls
• Willing to mentor other team members and engineers with less knowledge
• Travel requirements up to 30%. (Potential international travel)

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: or $55 per hour

Pay Range Maximum: $60 per hour

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
