Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support patients and their families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Perform various medical procedures including spinal taps and emergency interventions as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in case management to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Epic for documentation and patient management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical unit is preferred; experience in pediatrics or occupational health is a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic is advantageous.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in emergency room settings or case management preferred.
- Ability to provide care for diverse populations including toddlers and pediatric patients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
