Job Description
As the Senior Business Intelligence (BI) developer, you will beinstrumental in creating a variety of reports based on our Azure Synapse DataWarehouse and additional data sources. You will enhance and maintain ourenterprise data and analytics environment by collaborating with business usersto gather their requests, understand their requirements, and develop meaningfulreports and dashboards. Working alongside other team members, you will advocatefor standardization and consistency within data models. Your expertise in SQL,M, Power Query, and DAX will ensure that you can develop both interactive PowerBI reports and print-ready paginated reports. By delivering businessintelligence solutions, you will foster a data-driven culture that meets theorganization's current and future needs. Staying updated on current andemerging technologies in business intelligence is essential for creatingsustainable solutions and achieving success in your role.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements and makecertain that reporting solutions effectively address their needs.
Collaborate with data engineers, data architects, analysts, andbusiness stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them intotechnical solutions.
Designing and Developing Power BI Interactive Reports, PaginatedReports and Dashboards
Leverage Power BI to collect data from multiple sources such asExcel, APIs, SQL, and SharePoint. Develop visually compelling, interactivevisualizations that convey key insights to stakeholders and facilitate informeddecision-making.
Collaborate with team members to share best practices, providetechnical guidance, and support the adoption of Power BI and other platformtools.
Train and Mentor team members and Power Users on using Power BI,SQL server T-SQL, and other tools for their respective needs.
Stay up to date with technical updates and features related toPower BI and other technologies to maintain best practices.
Monitor and optimize the performance of business intelligencesolutions.
Document and communicate complex technical concepts to bothtechnical and non-technical audiences.
Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communicationabilities to foster productive work relationships.
All potential candidates must have the following :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, ora related field
10 years of experience in designing and developing businessintelligence reporting solutions
Expertise in MS SSRS, MS Power BI, Excel, and Analysis Services
Proficient in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, DAXqueries, and M queries
Proficient in performance tuning and query optimization
Superb communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
The ideal candidate will also have the following :
Experience with Commercial / Investment Real Estate tools (e.g.,Yardi, MRI, Argus, Juniper Square, VTS).
Proven experience in developing enterprise-wide businessintelligence solutions for complex environments.
Skilled in designing custom paginated reports and generatingdiverse report types, such as on-demand, drill-down, drill- through,parameterized, cascading, conditional, sub-reports, and dynamic grouping, invarious formats using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI ReportBuilder.
Experience in VBA, Python and / or Pyspark programming languages.
Good understanding of Git as well as Agile & SDLCmethodologies.
