We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our team. Responsibilities
Requirements/Experience needed: ** ACLS, BLS** IN state license** 1-2 years critical care** Critical care skills no ECHMO or trauma ERRT** Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from facilityScope of the role: Taking care of vent dependent, IV drips, Recoveries after hours occasionallyCandidate may be asked to float to MS telemetry ratio 6:1 Ratio: 3:1 or 2:1 depending on type of patient.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Monitor and assess vital signs, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
- Perform medical procedures such as suturing and administering medications as prescribed.
- Utilize Athenahealth for patient documentation and management.
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent infection.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in Medical-surgical and Long-term care settings.
- Participate in patient education and support initiatives, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans.
- Adapt quickly to new environments and protocols while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with experience in travel nursing preferred.
- Proficiency in assessing vital signs and performing essential nursing skills.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Experience in Medical-surgical nursing or Long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to different clinical environments.
