Job Summary:
As an RN, you will be responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the healthcare provider
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with medical procedures such as tube feedings and inhalation therapy
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems
- Higher med-surg acuity with diagnoses of stroke, seizures, post op neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients and level 1 trauma post-ICU care,and other diagnoses like DKA, renal failure, and general post op care
- Expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking skills, drain management and post-surgical care, chest tube, groin site management post IR
- Possible floating may be required
- Night shift 7p-7a (3 X 12's or 4 x 12's)
- *** Candidate must live 50 miles from facility***
Requirements
- Valid active Nursing license that is good standing in the state in which you are applying
- Minimum 2 years of prior nursing experience in the unit of interest
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Telemetry experience required
- ACLS, NIHSS
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Must live 50 miles from facility
