Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform specimen collection processing and ensure accurate documentation.
- Provide urgent care as needed, including airway management and catheterization.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations and collaborate with healthcare providers for comprehensive care planning.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and medical terminology.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities within a teaching hospital setting.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred; familiarity with esthetic laser treatment and sonography is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and primary care practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach complex concepts to patients and families effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.
This is located in Bluffton, Indiana, candidate must live over 50 miles from the facility. Travel position and travel pay will be offered.

Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights,1900-0730, on call requirements, GH bi-weekly: 72BR:
Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Scope of role: Medical Surgical Patient ratio: 1 to 6 for acute, 1 to 10 for swing. Required years of experience: 3 years Required skills: IV starts nursing assessments, etc.
Preferred skills: ICU drops, Types of services: acute care with telemetry, progressive care unit and swing, Number of beds: 20
