Primary Role:
A School Data/Testing and Accountability Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of data collection, analysis, and reporting for a school.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, statistics, or related field
- Experience in data management, analysis, and reporting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of state and federal reporting requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Familiarity with student information systems and assessment platforms.
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement systems for data collection and analysis: The coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing systems for collecting data on student achievement, attendance, and other relevant information. They must also analyze and interpret the data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage assessment programs: The coordinator works with teachers and administrators to develop and manage assessment programs that align with state and federal requirements. They must ensure that assessments are administered fairly and consistently across the school or district.
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff: The coordinator provides training and support to teachers and staff on data collection, analysis, and reporting. They may also provide guidance on using assessment data to inform instructional practices and make data-driven decisions.
- Coordinate reporting and compliance requirements: The coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the school or district is in compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. They must submit reports on time and ensure that the data is accurate and complete.
- Develop and implement data-driven improvement plans: The coordinator works with teachers and administrators to develop improvement plans based on data analysis. They must monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure that the school or district is meeting its goals.
- Maintain and manage data systems: The coordinator is responsible for maintaining and managing data systems, including student information systems and assessment platforms. They must ensure that the systems are secure, reliable, and accessible to authorized users.
- Communicate with stakeholders: The coordinator must communicate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders about data collection, analysis, and reporting. They may also be responsible for presenting data to school boards or other governing bodies.
