Job Description:
The TMT Youth Community Foundation is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the position of Education Director. The primary responsibility of the Education Director is to spearhead the location scouting and coordination efforts for Camp TMT, our hands-on learning initiative in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). In collaboration with First NC, we offer LEGO League Summer Camps that uniquely incorporate a film-making component to enhance the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Selection:
- Identify, assess, and secure suitable sites to conduct Camp TMT programs.
- Collaborate with property owners, educational institutions, and community organizations to establish partnerships for camp locations.
Logistics Coordination:
- Work closely with the logistics team to ensure all facilities meet the necessary requirements for hosting Camp TMT programs.
- Oversee logistical aspects, including transportation, accommodations, and equipment setup for each camp location.
Program Development:
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to integrate film-making components into LEGO League Summer Camps.
- Ensure alignment with Camp TMT's STEAM-focused objectives and educational standards.
Community Engagement:
- Foster positive relationships with local communities, schools, and organizations to enhance Camp TMT's presence and impact.
- Act as a liaison between the Foundation and community stakeholders to address any concerns or inquiries related to camp activities.
Partnership Management:
- Maintain strong partnerships with First NC and other collaborating organizations involved in Camp TMT.
- Explore additional partnerships that align with the Foundation's educational goals.
Budget Oversight:
- Work collaboratively with the finance team to manage the budget related to site selection, logistics, and program development.
- Ensure cost-effective solutions for site-related expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience in program development and coordination, preferably in educational or STEAM-related settings.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with LEGO League programs and film-making concepts is advantageous.
