About the Opportunity
Are you a seasoned DevOps Engineer who thrives in cloud-native environments and automation-first cultures? We're seeking a high-impact engineer with deep expertise in Terraform, Python, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines to join our team onsite in Reston, VA. You'll play a critical role in automating deployments, building cloud infrastructure, and managing application releases in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage Terraform modules and infrastructure as code
Automate builds, deployments, and infrastructure provisioning
Lead initiatives to migrate and deploy applications on AWS Cloud
Manage production releases, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and own change management
Write and maintain shell scripts, YAML, and Python code for automation and monitoring
Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
Monitor cloud performance using CloudWatch, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, and other AWS tools
Streamline and document DevOps processes, implement best practices, and mentor junior team members
Must-Have Skills
10 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation engineering
Strong expertise in Terraform scripting and infrastructure automation
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services: Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and more
Skilled in Python programming, shell scripting, and YAML
Solid understanding of Git, GitLab, Jenkins, and version control workflows
Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle, ANT) and artifact repositories (Nexus, SVN)
Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
Experience with change management, incident handling, and production deployment coordination
Nice to Have
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
Experience with configuration tools like Chef or Puppet
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and SRE practices
