Job Summary
The Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the terminal, ensuring efficient and effective management of transportation and logistics activities. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage staff, optimize processes, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The Terminal Manager will utilize various transportation management systems and tools to enhance operational performance while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

• Supervise terminal operations, including dispatching, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Manage and train terminal staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Utilize transportation management systems to analyze operational data and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate transportation planning and logistics to meet customer demands effectively.
• Oversee the maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe working environment.
• Implement GPS tracking systems for real-time monitoring of shipments and deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams via phone systems to resolve issues promptly.
• Develop strategies for optimizing supply chain processes within the terminal.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transportation management ocean FCL or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dispatching procedures and supply chain logistics in the FCL market.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and GPS technology is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making purposes.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and conflict resolution techniques is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,500.00 per year
