Charge Nurse on a Forensics Unit

Join the team at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI) as a Registered Nurse 3, where you'll provide expert patient care, lead nursing teams, and contribute to improving mental health outcomes in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Administer and evaluate treatments, medications, and nursing care per physician orders and protocols.
- Lead emergency responses, including CPR and BLS, and participate in crisis interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Develop and adjust nursing care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Serve as a Charge Nurse or Floor Supervisor, providing expert oversight and support.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current Tennessee RN license or NLC privilege.
Experience:
- RN license 3 years of RN experience OR
- RN license diploma/BSN 2 years of RN experience OR
- RN license MSN 1 year of RN experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership in healthcare settings, including coaching and mentoring staff.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment protocols.
