What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clean Room Production Operator position at TN Michigan LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Perform activities as required for the manufacture of medical components in a Controlled Environment Area (CEA) also referred to as the “cleanroom”. Be knowledgeable of, and adhere to, customer specifications, as well as government regulations as they pertain to the manufacture, quality, handling, labeling and packaging of medical components. Handle, operate and maintain high dollar value tooling and equipment belonging to TN Michigan LLC and, in some cases, our customers. Understand that this is a custom molding operation where employees will have knowledge of different customers product designs as well as processes developed by TN Michigan and that this knowledge (often referred to as intellectual property) should be treated with an appropriate level of confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ø Set-up and maintain operation of raw materials and material handling systems for the cleanroom.
Ø Startup and shutdown of molding machines and related support equipment in the cleanroom.
Ø Responding to and correcting alarm conditions on molding machines as required.
Ø Operate various pieces of test equipment and collect data as required per procedures.
Ø Performing quality audits on molded product per applicable specifications, procedures and work instructions.
Ø Prepare and maintain manufacturing documents in accordance with applicable government regulations.
Ø Prepare packaging materials per applicable specifications and procedures.
Ø Operate packaging equipment and package molded components per specifications and procedures.
Ø Palletize molded product for shipment and prepare shipping manifest.
Ø Assist in the pulling, disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of injection molds as required (Level 2 PM).
Ø Shall promote safe and good work habits by example. Follow all plant safety rules and regulations. Immediately report unsafe working conditions/equipment.
Ø Notify Manager of any operations that failed or experience problems.
Ø Ensure Maintenance work orders are issued as appropriate.
Ø Attend Company meetings when in plant or as directed.
Ø Actively participate in Department improvement activities and assist in problem solving.
Ø Attend Department meetings as an active part of the Team.
Ø Maintain an open mind to change, and respect opinions of co-workers.
Ø Perform other activities as assigned.
Ø Maintain work area and equipment.
o Clean and orderly work area keep area clean and free of safety hazards. Report or correct hazards.
o Follow company policies and workplace organization.
o Follow established Kan-ban system.
EDUCATION AND JOB KNOWLEDGE
High school or G.E.D. education required.

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity of J1 at 16" either corrected or uncorrected. Must be able to visually detect defects in molded components as required.
