Certification Details BLS Job Details Unit Capacity : 24 Beds, one lead lined room suitable for radiation isolation Population Served : Patients with solid tumors, leukemia, lymphomas, myeloma, gynecologic malignancies, cancer symptom management, febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, sickle cell anemia, hematologic diseases, post-operative mastectomy, post-operative gynecological oncology, and med / surg overflow Ages of Patients Served : Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60) Nurse to Patient Ratios : 1 : 6 Core Staffing Plan : Variable staffing grid to include Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Job Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years : Ascension Color Vision HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics completed within a year of start updated yearly with minimum 80% score Ascension EKG Exam must be completed with a passing score of at least 80% Documentation of vaccination series completion or declination to vaccine to be signed and dated by traveler 1st PPD within 1 year, 2nd PPD within 30 days of start Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines or serological evidence of immunity Valid Driver's License / State ID must match address on file Additional Details Must be AHA certified OCN certification is strongly encouraged
