What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk position at TNStumpff Enterprises?
TNStumpff Enterprises, LLC, a leader in contract mail delivery, is looking for a Payroll and Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team in our Lincoln, Nebraska office.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and a knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations. Hybrid work allowing for partial remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees - Calculate wages, deductions and taxes. Enter payroll in payroll system and process. Calculate and maintain accurate payroll reports.
- Manage accounting procedures and processes - Maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers for consistent bookkeeping and budgetary analysis. Assist with data entry of financial transactions into accounting software, bank statement reconciliation, bill pay, etc.
- Ensure overall financial compliance - Examine tax policies, assist in managing tax payments/returns and reporting. Keep up to date with changes in Department of Labor Wage Determinations.
- Employee Communication - Communicating with employees and vendors regarding financial matters while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Requirements:
- Strong math skills
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to handle information confidentially
- Familiarity with accounting software preferred as well as Adobe and Dropbox
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel and Word
- Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
