TNT is looking to add experienced full-time Billing Clerk to our growing Branch. The following are a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position.

Summary: The billing clerk position is accountable for creating invoices and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all necessary means, and updating customer files. As a billing clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. Being good at math and a high degree of organizational ability are essential due to the great amount of financial information. The goal is to contribute to the accurate preparation of bills receivable and safeguard the company's income.
Responsibilities:
- Issue invoices to customers through email or various invoice submission portals
- Update customer files with issued invoices
- Process credit memos
- Create reports and present to managers
- Develop, review and submit cost reports in a timely manner
- Review accuracy of invoices prior to submission by performing various checks
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Interpret contract language for verification of labor, material and equipment rates for various customers
- Provide management with daily status of completed functions
- Communicate effectively within the company in order to resolve client inquiries
- May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of billing experience.
• A minimum of a year experience in billing refineries or construction industries.
• Advanced Accounting degree Preferred.
Skills Required:
• Understanding of law and legal procedures relating to accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work productively and effectively in a team setting.
• Focused on process improvement and achieving team and Company goals.
• Must be a self-starter
• Must be able to work under little or no supervisor and still achieve goal.
