Position: Dispatcher
Location: Albany, GA
Reports to: Branch Manager
Southway is looking to add experienced full-time Dispatch to our growing Branch. The following are a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position.

Summary: The position schedules job tasks for cranes and/or haul trucks after receiving requirements from Customers. Records on the Daily Schedule, the crane size required, assigned Operator, date and time required, Customer (Co. name), location and description of the job task, special rigging that maybe required, contact name and phone number(s), and invoicing information.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all your responsibilities in a safe, legal, professional, and ethical manner.
- Assigned Operator and/or Rigger for the job task.
- Use the radio, phone or computer to direct crews and other field units to the appropriate sites. Maintain and update call logs, call records and other important documentation.
- Receives incoming calls from external and internal Customers.
- Records the following on the Daily schedule:
- Supervise the route and status of field units to prioritize their daily schedule.
- Maintain and update call logs, call records and other important documentation.
- Act as a communication liaison through the two-way truck radio system and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road
- Other task as assigned by manager
Skills Required:
- Mechanical and analytical skills preferred.
- ****Proficient in Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, etc...)
- Ability to follow procedures and regulations
- Ability to remain calm in a stressful situation
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- College degree preferred.
- 3 years of industrial dispatching/scheduling duties.
- 2-4 years of crane operations, and proper rigging techniques.
