Job Location is in Bastrop, TX.
Please note, that this position includes direct store and stand delivery, loading and unloading product. Applicants with DSD, Route Sales, Retail, Management, or LTL experience will be highly considered. Seasonal fuel oil delivery driver as well as school bus drivers and other school employees are also encouraged to apply, as our work occurs during summer / Christmas breaks.
This is a short-term, high-earning opportunity.
TNT Fireworks is currently hiring seasonal CDL drivers to deliver consumer fireworks to retail stores, wholesale customers and firework stand locations. Primary operating seasons June 18th-July 8th and December 15th – January 3rd. Intermittent driving throughout the year available.
During deliveries and returns, drivers will be assigned a route and visit stands to pick up the unsold products. Driver will be responsible assisting customers in loading and unloading product as needed.
This position requires flexibility and work beyond just driver responsibilities. Top drivers may earn a bonus and the opportunity to travel to other states once our territory is complete. Most of our drivers are provided the opportunity to return to us each New Year’s and July season.
Key responsibilities :
- Safely operate a class B box truck (some class A driving may be available) for delivery and return of product.
- Assist in loading and unloading product at delivery and pickup locations.
- Load products into pallet packs in the truck, properly package and block / brace in accordance with D.O.T. hazmat / company requirements.
- Communicate daily with area managers to ensure the product is available and ready for pickup when you arrive at the stands.
- A professional attitude is a must as a company representative.
- Handling of product is required. This is NOT a "no-touch" freight position. Drivers must be able to lift, bend, reach, pull, carry, stand, and walk while visiting stops.
