Overview:
TNT Heating & Air is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Maintenance Technician to perform routine HVAC maintenance, inspections, and service work across our commercial client base. You'll play a vital role in keeping our clients' systems running efficiently, safely, and to The TNT Standard-while also identifying potential system issues or upgrade opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment (RTUs, split systems, package units, VAV systems, heat pumps, etc.)
- Document all findings, deficiencies, and recommendations clearly and accurately in ServiceTitan or approved software
- Inspect electrical connections, motors, belts, refrigerant levels, drain lines, and controls for safe operation
- Clean coils, filters, and components as part of routine service
- Check system performance and ensure units are operating within manufacturer specifications
- Communicate maintenance findings with office staff and clients, noting any potential repairs or upgrades
- Tag all serviced equipment with TNT identification and next service due dates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle
- Collaborate with the Service Manager for scheduling and service follow-through
- Be knowledgeable about IAQ solutions, dehumidifiers, and system efficiency upgrades to support the sales team
- Uphold TNT's commitment to quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- 2 years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience
- EPA certification required (Type II or Universal)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and maintenance best practices
- Experience with rooftop units, split systems, and digital thermostats
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and document all work performed
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
