Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience in various shop environments. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and modifications on vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
Duties
- Utilize power tools and equipment to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Execute automotive repair tasks, including but not limited to auto glass replacement, sheet metal work, and auto body repair.
- Collaborate with dealership staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform soldering tasks as needed for electrical repairs or modifications.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and any additional notes relevant to the repair process.
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with various types of automotive repair techniques and tools.
- Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices and safety standards.
