Job Summary:
The Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is pivotal in supporting strategic decision-making and driving financial performance within the organization. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in manufacturing finance, U.S. GAAP compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic objectives.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control processes.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Support decision-making processes by analyzing financial performance and market trends.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, including SOX compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax filings and regulatory reports.
Manufacturing Finance Expertise:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including inventory management and cost of goods sold
- Implement and maintain robust costing models to optimize profitability.
- Provide financial oversight for capital projects and investments.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
