The Ocean Import Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the smooth and efficient importation of goods by ocean, ensuring all customs clearances are handled, and goods are delivered to the final destination. This role requires strong coordination with airlines, customs authorities, and transportation providers, along with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the air importation process, managing customs clearance and coordinating deliveries to final destinations.
- Liaise with airlines, customs authorities, and trucking companies to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing clients with regular status updates and handling any issues that arise.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for customs clearance, such as invoices, bills of lading, and other regulatory forms.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant import regulations, trade laws, and customs policies.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Educational Requirements & Experience
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry is preferred.
- CargoWise Experience
- Experience with air imports is highly beneficial.

Mathematical Proficiency
- Capable of performing basic calculations, including cost estimations and rate assessments.
