Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Under the direction of the principal and Director of Special Education, the speech-language pathologist’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to providing evidenced based therapy, evaluations, IEP development, and teacher consultation.
Requirements:
- Must hold a South Carolina certificate as a Speech-Language Pathologist or be eligible for certification
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellow Applicants
- Licensed by South Carolina Board of Examiners-LLR
Responsibilities
- Screens, evaluates, and diagnoses speech/language disorders and determines student eligibility for enrollment in the speech/language program.
- Develops goals, objectives, methods, and materials to assist students in achieving their highest potential.
- Provides a therapeutic program to meet the individual needs of Speech-Language Impaired students
- Provides speech/language services in full compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintains thorough, ongoing student records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborates with regular education teachers and other staff members to implement therapy suggestions for the student’s daily activities.
- Maintains Medicaid documentation
- Perform all other duties as assigned
